The Peru coffee from Mount Hagen is an exceptional speciality
Speciality: not only a single origin, but even a single estate. This means an organic highland Arabica from a single farm - the Demeter coffee farm "La Chacra D'dago". Its hand-picked green coffee beans are gently roasted for a particularly long time in drum roasters in Hamburg. This allows them to develop their special, characteristic flavour profile - typical of Mount Hagen: mild, nutty, chocolaty, with a slight sweetness. An exceptional coffee, whether prepared in a fully automatic machine, as a pour-over or in a French press.

The beans for Mount Hagen Peru coffee are grown according to the particularly strict
demeter guidelines in small coffee gardens under shade trees. They are harvested and sorted by hand and sun-dried for 5-10 days until they have reached their optimum residual moisture content of approx. 12%. The next processing step then takes place in Hamburg: roasting. The Mount Hagen Peru coffee is gently roasted for around 12-14 minutes at around 200°C in drum roasters, then sealed in aluminium-free aroma protection bags to preserve its refined, spicy aromas.
Tip: The best way to store this Demeter Single Origin is in the
Mount Hagen coffee tin - airtight, dry and cool. But please do not put it in the fridge, as coffee very quickly takes on the odours of its surroundings.
