The Mount Hagen single-origin espresso from Honduras is a rarity:
an exceptional premium Arabica, Demeter-certified, from only one country and only one type of coffee - hence the designation "Single Origin". The green coffee beans are refined very gently and slowly in drum roasters in Hamburg. This is how they develop their special flavour profile - very typical of Mount Hagen: intense, dark chocolate, with wonderful notes of cinnamon and caramel. Full-bodied yet low in acidity, it spoils every palate. A top-class espresso for the discerning coffee connoisseur.

The beans of the Honduras single origin come from
Demeter-certified biodynamic cultivation. They grow at an altitude of around 1,500 metres on what is known to be very fertile soil in the almost perfect coffee climate of the Copán region in western Honduras. The coffee cherries are harvested by hand, hand-picked and sun-dried for 5-10 days until the optimum residual moisture content of approx. 12% is reached. In Hamburg, the green coffees are then refined into the perfect espresso in a drum roaster at approx. 200 degrees for 12-14 minutes. And then sealed in aluminium-free aroma protection bags to preserve its extraordinary, magnificent aromas.
Tip: The best way to store this Demeter Single Origin is in the
Mount Hagen coffee tin - airtight, dry and cool. But please do not put it in the fridge, as coffee very quickly takes on the odours of its surroundings.
