The Mount Hagen Sidamo coffee is a speciality: a single origin
from the "cradle of coffee", Ethiopia. This means an organic Arabica from a single origin - the southern part of Ethiopia, from Sidamo. The hand-picked green coffee beans are refined particularly gently in drum roasters in Hamburg. This allows them to develop their characteristics to perfection - typical of Mount Hagen: the harmonious symbiosis of citrus and herbal notes combined with a nutty sweetness on the finish. An exceptional organic coffee, whether prepared in a fully automatic machine, by hand filter or in a French press.

Like all Mount Hagen coffees, the beans for Mount Hagen Sidamo coffee are
Mount Hagen coffees, are fairly traded and come 100% from controlled, Naturland-certified organic cultivation. It grows at an altitude of around 1800 metres on very mineral-rich volcanic soil in small coffee gardens under shade trees. The coffee beans are harvested by hand, hand-picked and sun-dried for 5-10 days until they have reached the optimum residual moisture content of approx. 12%. The next processing step then takes place in Hamburg: roasting. The Mount Hagen Sidamo coffee is gently roasted for around 12-14 minutes at around 200°C in drum roasters, then sealed in aluminium-free aroma protection bags to preserve its intense aromas.

Tip: The best way to store this Ethiopian single origin is in the
Mount Hagen coffee tin - airtight, dry and cool. But please do not put it in the fridge, as coffee quickly takes on the odours of its surroundings.
