The Mount Hagen coffee mug is big enough for lattes, cappuccinos & co,
Cappuccino & Co. and small enough that your favourite Mount Hagen coffee won't get cold. We have had them made from porcelain in the EU - firstly because porcelain does not distort the flavour of the coffee. Secondly, because it is a "natural" material (it consists of kaolin, feldspar and quartz).
That's why we didn't print our logo, the Mount Hagen bird of paradise, but embossed it instead. Beautiful. And simple. Not to be sneezed at as a gift for coffee fans either.

Mount Hagen coffee.

Our name - Mount Hagen (with an "a", not "Mount Hägen") - is not a fantasy plant
is not a fantasy plant. It's a real mountain, or rather the area where our very first coffee farm was located. The Mount Hagen story with organic coffee began in the middle of Papua New Guinea, in the Western Highland district, at the end of the 1980s. And because the heraldic animal of Papua New Guinea is a bird of paradise, we included it in the logo. But perhaps also because we are a bit crazy when it comes to coffee: Mount Hagen coffee is always (!) grown organically or biodynamically
grown. Always harvested and sorted by hand. And always gently and slowly roasted in drum roasters in Hamburg. This is the only way its specific flavour profile can fully develop. And this is typical of all Mount Hagen organic coffees: they have character, are idiosyncratic, original, original - and by no means mainstream.
